What is Saint Bernard Rescue? It is NOT the Saints rescuing you...it is you rescuing the dogs! Each year hundreds of Saint Bernards and Saint Bernard mixes are left at the pound or turned into Saint Bernard Rescue for a variety of reasons. Some of the major reasons are:
  • Divorce
  • Death of the owner
  • Dog is too big
  • It drools
  • It sheds
  • Can't afford to keep it.
  • Lost our rent and have to find a new home.
  • Moving
Saint Bernard Rescue is an all volunteer group that gets these animals out of the situation, analyzes them for potential problems, rehabilitates them when needed, spays and neuters them, and then finds an appropriate home for these loving animals. As a 501(c)(3) tax deductible charity, the Saint Bernard Rescue Foundation of America is always in need of a tax-deductible donation, as there is a lot of expense to carry out this overwhelming task. The Saint Bernard Rescue Foundation sells, as a fundraiser, handcrafted oak kegs. Cash donations, food or medical donations are always in need, as are volunteers in most areas. The kegs and the dogs that are available for adoption can be seen at http://www.saintrescue.org Rescues come and go in Southern Oregon very quickly! Great temperaments and wonderful dogs make good companions. To inquire or to get on the waiting list, call Bruce or Penny at (541) 878-3719.
